Student experiencing spiritual growth and ministry
in the community through active leadership in BCM
and/or local Southern Baptist Church ministries.
Students should be able to cooperate and minister
with Southern Baptist missionaries and churches.
Student must demonstrate a solid commitment to
Christ. |

Willingness to participate in personal evangelism,
willingness to work hard, desire to learn new
things, positive Christian attitude, ability to be
flexible, and willingness to serve in the position
assigned by the Missions Committee. |

(3) |
Good
physical, mental and emotional health. Persons with
adaptability, common sense and spiritual maturity.
Some positions require persons that are physical
able to participate in vigorous activity.

|
(4) |
A
minimum of 2.25 GPA. |

(5) |
On some
positions, students must meet appropriate semester
hour requirements as listed below:
10 week positions in USA - 30 hours
10 week positions in foreign countries - different
positions require
different semester hour requirements between 30-60
hours
Florida Reach Teams - 20 hours |

Each
student must complete online application and be
interviewed by a local committee through BCM or your
Florida Baptist Church. If selected locally, a state
interview with the State Student Missions Committee
is required the weekend of January 26-27, 2007 at USF BCM in Tampa.

Students
agree to raise appropriate funds toward their
expenses as listed below:
* 10-week positions in foreign countries, $2000.
* Remember that appointment is based on
qualifications, not financial ability. Along with
you, we trust that God will provide the money
necessary to send students. |

All
students serving will be required to enlist at least
five (5) Mission Support Partners who will pledge to
offer prayer, encouragement, and/or financial gifts
throughout the summer. |

(9) |
Former
Florida Baptist Student Missionaries may reapply!
Those who have served overseas are encouraged to
apply for US or Florida positions. Priority for
those serving overseas will be for students who have
not served previously; however, exceptions are
possible based upon the nature of the assignment.
Students reapplying must repeat the application and
interview process. |
