STUDENT MISSIONS POSITIONS
FOR 2007
INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Central Asia ACTS Team #83397
10
Students This Central Asian country is home to 70 million people, and it is claimed that 99% of the population are of Islamic faith. The number of Christ followers is approximately 3,000. The reality is that most Turks have never met a Christian or heard the truth of the Gospel. What little they do know is likely a twisted, distorted story about Jesus. ACTS 2007 offers students like you a unique way to share your faith in Christ with those who have no other means to hear. As a student in our cultural education program you will study the religion, history, language, and communities in this Central Asian country. Our desire is that you would discover how your position as a student enables you to fulfill your calling as and Ambassador for Christ and how your calling as an Ambassador affects every aspect of your life. Students will be integrated into the strategy of local teams by working alongside field personnel who are striving to see God receive the glory due His name in this land. Students will be placed in one of several strategic cities throughout this Central Asian country. Dates of Assignment: May 24 - June 25, 2007. Security Level: 3. Fund Raising Required: $2000. Optional trip to Ephesus, $250 to be paid by student. For application information, contact Connie Ricks (bcm@flbaptist.org).

Eagles' Wings Youth Ranch, located in rural Mountainair, is a ministry to
disadvantaged, at-risk youth. The mission of this ministry is to share God's love in a summer camp centered around relationships built through adventure recreation, low and high ropes, swimming, archery, horsemanship, training in making right choices using the Bible as a guide, and follow-up. The student missionaries will intentionally build witnessing relationships through these fun activities, breaking down barriers, and sharing Christ through morning devotional dramas, small groups, Christian videos and movies, games with a purpose of teaching kids life and Biblical lessons, and evening devotions where specific Bible stories are shared about Bible characters who had to make choices and how those choices affected their lives. The student missionaries will benefit from serving in the following ways. 1. Be challenged to be still and know that He is God away from the hustle, bustle, and distractions of urban life. 2. Be encouraged to be more Christ-like through the development of servant's hearts. 3. Have opportunities to use the skills, talents, and spiritual gifts God has given them to assist Immanuel Baptist Church of Estrancia in its worship services and children and youth ministries.
